Dr. Sharon Riley Ordu, Chief Learning Officer and Educational Consultant

Dr. Sharon Ordu is the founder of Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Leadership (ETLL) and currently serves as its Chief Learning Officer and Educational Consultant. Her inspiration for ETLL stems from a career spent in the field of education. Dr. Ordu takes pride in having extensive experience in leadership, leadership development, program management/evaluation, secondary education, higher education, professional learning, and other areas.

She has presented on a variety of educational topics at many local, state, and national conferences. During her time in administration, she served as the Principal of DeKalb Early College Academy. Under her leadership, the school was recognized as a Georgia School of Excellence—the only school in the 3rd largest school district in Georgia to earn that recognition in 2013. She was the Turnaround Principal for Brown Middle School. During her tenure, the school was removed from the Georgia Needs Improvement list and recognized multiple years for meeting academic targets at the district and state levels.

Dr. Ordu was selected to be an Education Peer Grants Reviewer for the US Department of Education and a State Judge for the Georgia Teacher of the Year Program (Georgia Department of Education) in 2014. The same year, she joined the Adjunct Faculty team at St. Thomas University, Grand Canyon University, and Southern New Hampshire University. She has taught hundreds, if not thousands, of undergraduate and graduate students at multiple well-known universities around the country and the world in traditional and online learning environments.

 

She was elected to serve two terms with the National Middle School Association (now the Association for Middle Level Education) Board of Trustees from 2006 to 2012; served a 2-year term on the Georgia Middle School’s Board of Directors from 2007 to 2009; was appointed to the Urban Task Force of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) from 2004 to 2006; and sat on the After-School All-Stars’ Board of Trustees. Dr. Ordu is a published author and enjoys researching as well as writing on scholarly topics. She is a member of many organizations such as the National Society of Leadership & Success (a leadership honor society), International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership, Georgia Alliance for Gifted Education, and Sigma Tau Delta, an international collegiate honor society for students of English at colleges and universities who are within the top 30% of their class and have a 3.5 or higher GPA.  Dr. Ordu was invited to contribute a chapter for a book on Social-Emotional Learning and then selected to be Editor of the book. Professor Prince Ordu, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer and Managing Consultant

Dr. Prince Ordu is the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Consultant of ETLL, as well as co-founder. He has specialized training and expertise in the areas of healthcare administration, management, strategic planning, program development, politics, research, leadership, and business.

Dr. Ordu has an extensive history of speaking engagements and presentations at the local, state, national, and international levels on topics such as leadership, APA style, research, sex trafficking, strategic management, and related health care management issues. He has been featured on a marketing brochure for Walden University—his alma mater—and serves as a Walden Ambassador which takes him around the country speaking to recent graduates, faculty, and staff.

 

As a professor of health care administration, Dr. Ordu has taught hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students both on ground and online in courses focusing on healthcare management, law, global health, and many other areas. He became a fully tenured Professor of Health Science and Head of Department at Novena University located in Delta State, Nigeria.

Accomplishments include being selected as Walden University’s National Distinguished Alumni—the first student of African descent to receive this honor. As a member of the faculty at American InterContinental University, he earned the regional Faculty Student Success Award and the National Commitment to Excellence Leadership Award. He was selected in 2018 for the national ‘Made Man’ award sponsored through the Made Man Foundation. This award seeks to showcase philanthropy and honor the extraordinary achievements of notable African American male influencers from various walks of life. The Walden University chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success selected Dr. Ordu to join due to his status as a Distinguished Alumni.  In 2023, Dr. Ordu earned the esteemed Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award,  and was recognized in the 2023 edition of Marquis Who's Who in America.

He is a Chaplain and Executive Board member, as well as Professor Emeritus at GODSU University. His book ‘Management Problems in Selected Hospitals in Rivers State, Nigeria was published in 2009 and he is the author of multiple publications. Prince Ordu was appointed by the South-South Chiefs, Elders and Opinion Leaders Association of Nigeria as the Diaspora Coordinator for the United States of America (USA). He is also a member of Sigma Beta Delta, a scholastic honor society that recognizes academic achievement among students in the fields of business, management, and administration. In 2021, Dr. Ordu published the book, 'Power to the People' in Nigeria:
